Specter Tort Tracker is a docket intelligence service for plaintiff and mass tort firms. It groups new filings by product, injury theory and named defendant across more than 40 jurisdictions and every active MDL, tracks how fast each category is accelerating, and reports which litigation categories are forming before they carry an MDL number. It exists because the eighteen months before consolidation are when a firm can still build a position, and a docket alert about a single filing does not tell you a category is starting.

How is this different from a docket alert service?

Alert services tell you a case was filed. Tort Tracker tells you a category is forming, clustering filings by product, injury and defendant, scoring the acceleration, and giving you a litigator's read on the theory and the procedural path.

How early do you pick up a new tort?

We track categories from the first individual filings, well before a JPML petition. Several categories currently under watch are still pre-MDL.

Do the signals tell you whether the science holds?

No, and that is the honest limit. A category can accelerate on a theory that will not survive a Daubert challenge, and filing velocity looks identical either way. Velocity scoring narrows the field to the handful worth a serious look; whether the causation theory holds is still a litigator's judgment, and we write that read for you, including the categories we think you should skip.

Can I track a category you do not currently list?

Yes. Custom category tracking is part of the engagement: tell us the product, injury theory or defendant and we will build the cluster.
